Mauricio Aranda Solares, MSc.

Consultant, Developer, Professor, and Researcher on Computer Science

My research interests are in education, computer science, innovation technologies and social business. In particular, I'm very interested in internet technologies, ubiquitous computing, augmented reality and human-computer interaction. I am also interested in artificial intelligent, quantum computing, holography, virtual reality, cloud computing, brain-computer interface, biotechnologies, cognitive science, robotics, nanotechnologies, genetics engineering, transhumanism, languages and Asian philosophy. In my humble opinion, the most important is the development of new/improved R&D products in order to help people around the world.

I completed my MSc. in Computer Networks and Integrated Systems at National Laboratory on Advanced Computer Science (LANIA-Mexico) in March 2009. Prior to that, I received a BSc. in Computer Systems Engineering -graduated with honors- from Poza Rica Institute of Technology (ITSPR-Mexico). Moreover, I have had the opportunity to do an internship focus on Software Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technologies (MIT-USA) supervised by Dr. Ricardo Valerdi. In addition, I have gotten four international certifications: SCJA, SCJP, MCTS and MCAS.

At present, I am studying International Business and Chinese Language at Huazhong Normal University in Wuhan, China. Currently, some activities are focus on: teaching English and Spanish; developing an international business plan in order to get a collaboration between Mexico and China; and collaborating in the social-business linkage. Moreover, I have worked at Texas Instruments/Dextra Technologies in Aguascalientes, Mexico as Senior Software Design Engineer. Prior to that, I worked at National Laboratory on Advanced Computer Science, where I was a Researcher and IT Consultant, besides Software Developer supervised by Dr. Cristina Loyo and Dr. Ofelia Cervantes.

Some of them are: Mother Teresa, Rigoberta Menchu, Gandhi, Dalai Lama, Muhammad Yunus, Sam Pitroda, Peter Diamandis, Linus Torvalds, Jeff Bezos, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Guy Laliberte, Marcel Marceau, Charles Chaplin, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Benito Juarez, Confucius, Sun Tzu, Robin Li, Ma Huateng, Buddha, and of course Jesus Christ.

I have a big dream. I want to help people around the world. So, everyday I just ask myself: How can I improve the lives of a billion people?.
